General Terms and Conditions 

1. General

These general terms and conditions apply to all treatments, services, giftcards, products, and agreements of Body Mind Alkmaar, located in Alkmaar.

By making an appointment or purchasing a product or giftcards, the client declares agreement with these terms and conditions.

2. Treatments

Our treatments last 30, 50, 80, 90, or 110 minutes and include the use of products. Time for changing clothes and a short intake is included in the reserved treatment time.

Body Mind Alkmaar reserves the right to adjust treatments if deemed necessary for the safety or well-being of the client.

Treatments at Body Mind Alkmaar are aimed at relaxation and well-being and do not replace medical treatment.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation

Appointments can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.

In case of cancellation within 24 hours before the treatment, 100% of the treatment fee will be charged. This also applies in the event of illness.

Rescheduling

Appointments can be rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance via the online confirmation or reminder.
Within 24 hours, an appointment can only be rescheduled by telephone. In that case, Body Mind Alkmaar reserves the right to charge the full treatment fee.

4. Late Arrival

If you arrive late, the treatment may be shortened without a price reduction in order to maintain the daily schedule.

5. No-Show

If a client does not appear for an appointment without prior notice, this is considered a no-show. In that case, the full amount of the reserved treatment will be charged.

6. Contraindications and Personal Responsibility

It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete information regarding medical conditions, medication use, or other relevant health factors.

Body Mind Alkmaar reserves the right to refuse or adjust a treatment if contraindications are present.

Examples of contraindications include:

  • Fever or flu

  • Contagious skin conditions (such as herpes or shingles)

  • Cancer or tumors

  • Infections and local inflammations

  • Severe cardiovascular conditions (such as thrombosis or phlebitis)

  • Recent fractures, wounds, or scars

  • Pregnancy (massage only possible from 14 weeks onwards)

If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable, please consult your physician first.

The client remains at all times responsible for his or her own health.

7. Liability

Body Mind Alkmaar is not liable for:

  • Damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client

  • Allergic reactions or physical responses not disclosed in advance

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

The liability of Body Mind Alkmaar is at all times limited to the amount of the relevant treatment.

8. Payment

Payment must be made immediately after the treatment using the available payment methods.

In case of outstanding amounts, Body Mind Alkmaar reserves the right to refuse future appointments until the outstanding balance has been paid.

9. Giftcards

Giftcards are valid for 2 years from the date of issue, unless stated otherwise.

From March 1, 2025, Body Mind Alkmaar will only accept Giftycards.
Older giftcards not issued at Gifty can be redeemed until February 29, 2025.

Giftcards:

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Cannot be extended after the expiration date

  • Will not be refunded in case of loss or theft

  • Only original giftcards are accepted (no copies)
     

10. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy of Body Mind Alkmaar and is used solely for administrative purposes and communication regarding appointments.

11. Force Majeure

Body Mind Alkmaar is not liable for the inability to perform treatments due to force majeure, including illness of the therapist, technical failures, power outages, or other unforeseen circumstances.

12. Complaints

Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days after the treatment via info@bodymindalkmaar.nl.

Body Mind Alkmaar will make every effort to resolve the complaint carefully and reasonably.
